This year’s 2008 Ragtop Ramble Award winners were announced during the New England International Auto Show Press Days luncheon. Steve Tyler from Dirrico Motorscyles (and Aerosmith fame) did the honors alongside NEMPA President Ezra Dyer.
Holding a press conference at this year’s show, Tyler- a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, announced that his custom motorcycle company was changing its name from “Redwing Motorcycles” to “Dirico Motorcycles”. The name change was done to prevent trademark lawsuits.
Tyler talked about his company to the automotive press at the show and to local TV crews.
After taking questions Tyler stayed on stage to hand out the NEMPA Ragtop Ramble Awards and Yankee Cup Award.
